There have been so many movies that has left me fully entertained. But some of them has left me bread crumbs - food for thought...

1) My sister's keeper
It makes me wonder... how far will you go for your family? Will I have the same courage like the little girl? If this question was post to me when I was 21, the answer will most likely be a loud yes... But for now, I'm no longer so sure. Does selfishness progress with age for me?

2) Julie and Julia
Never give up! So long as you are determined and meet heads on with all your challenges, nothing can stop you.  But having said that, I'm envious of their good lucks in getting such understanding husbands.

3) Avatar
James Cameron - You are my idol! To devote 15 years of your life and resources to 1 movie is unthinkable or at least it is to me. But without your hard work, we will not have the privilege to watch such a excellent movie. I look forward to Avatar 2.

So what's up for 2010? I've taken a peek to find out what movies are coming in 2010 and I'm very excited over them! Sex and the City 2!!! I watch Sex and the City Movie with Amber and PY for Amber's Hen Party. Maybe can jio them and more girls to watch Part 2.

It has always been a dream of mine to go to a beach resort that looks exactly like the postcard and pictures on the brochure. Over the past few months, Ive seen a Chinese travel program on Boracay and I was impressed with the blue sky, clear sea and white beach. The name Boracay sounds so far away that I never realize that the place is just in Philippines. Just a few weeks after the travel program, my friend PY was talking about this travel article that she has read from a magazine when she was on board SQ. The idea of visiting Boracay struck to our head and it became our wish list.

So you can guess what happen when I was assigned to stay in Philippines for 6 weeks due to work purposes. I persuaded her to fly over from Shanghai so that we can rot on a sunny beach for a few days. She agreed and WHEM we go.

It was all so exciting when she arrived to Manila on 2 Jul. I was busy packing to go over to Boracay and also I was trying my best to packed my suitcase for the final departure on 7 Jul to go home. With little sleep, we went to the Aquino International airport on 3 Jul, Ive a confession to make. When planning for the Boracay trip. PY was not able to provide much feedback and since she could not confirm her flight details to Manila, we have to buy the air tickets and book the accommodation at the very last minute. All the cheap flights and promotion were no longer available. In the end, I risked it by booking the trip via an agency that Ive only seen on a website. Yes, I will not advise others to try this stunt unless you are truly desperate. So I told PY of my worry of getting con, L

Imagine our reaction when we reach Aquino T3 airport and were advised the flight numbers that we have been booked on is not available at all. I was horrified and immediately called the agency. The coordinator kept on insisting that we were booked on the flight and wants to speak the Cebu Pacific rep. The rep refused to talk to her and we were struck with no flight. In the end, PY (being the calmer person) continue to talk to the Cebu Pacific rep while I was talking to the coordinator. PY managed to dig out more information and we finally knew what happened. One of the planes from another airline has an accident at the Catican Airport. This causes all the flights to be diverted to Kaliebo (its about 90 minutes away from the Ferry Terminal to Boracay. We were delayed for about 3 hours. After arriving Kaliebo, we have to take a 90 minute bus ride before boarding their ferry to Boracay. What an adventure! We were so glad to see the white sandy beach that we ignore our Singaporean instincts and just settle down on a beach front seafood restaurant and have our first dinner in Boracay. The food was slightly better than average but I most impressed with the prawns as my experience with prawns in Manila were all disappointing. Its my first time drinking beer in the beach watching sun set and all the troubles and resources taken is worth it. The sun set was beautiful but I was with the wrong sort of companion. :p Dont get me wrong, traveling with PY is fun but it would have been great if we have more friends with us or if I am with a hunk instead. LOL

At this very moment, I’m sitting at the Biz Class Lounge in Aquino Airport T1. The internet is down and I’ve decided to pin down my thoughts before they are lost in the abyss.

It has been extremely interesting day for me because I don’t feel the immerse happiness that everyone was having when they are about to fly back to the tropical island, their home – Singapore. Instead, I feel very weary and tired. It could be due to the stress over my 3 pieces of luggage that I’ve to checked in. (Just a side note: When I arrived in Manila, there was only 1 suitcase + 1 sling bag + 1 laptop bag). And since I was able to check in all 3 pieces, I did not dare question the total weight. Guess how much things I’ve thrown over this trip? In case all these go back to my mother’s ears, I will not reveal it here. Heehehehe…

But having said the above, maybe I will feel differently when I reached Changi Airport and see the words “To Singaporeans, Welcome Home.” In the past, all these seem to be just words. But my previous biz trip has taught me otherwise. The most embarrassing encounter was when I came back from Australia after being away from home for 3 months. Tears were gathering around my eyes and the dam was about to be opened. Kit Chan’s “Home” was playing in my head. Thinking of it now, it seems to be very emotional of me back then. But hey, I was still a young girl back then (Ahem… I am a young lady now)

Anyway, it’s time for me to put away my feelings and get ready to go home to meet my parents after 6.5 weeks. I’m a little tanned now so I hope to stay out of the sun for the next 3 months. J

Just came across this when reading a Chinese novel. Sometimes I feel I think too much. It is best to just let nature takes its course. In other words, don't think too much! :p

This poem is easy to read and understand. Just that I dun have that some one to pin for at the moment. Hehehehe... So can only appreciate the poem.

These few days, I have "sudden" interests to post chinese sayings, poems etc on my blog. This phrase used to be on my msn. It reminds me to treasure what I have in front of me then keep on aimlessly searching. Chin right? hahaha...

This phrase is taken from the TW Idol Drama I like this phrase a lot and decided to share this with all my friends.

Woke up very late as I couldn’t sleep the night before. Ended up not going to all the places that I’d planned. Couldn’t go to Kelly Tarlton’s Antarctic Encounter & Underwater World. Cos by the time I reached the bustop, it was 2.30pm local time and the place closed at 6pm. Not worth it. I went to Foodtown instead and bought some chips to sample. Not sure what to bring back to my workmates back home so decided to try all the possibilities. Also bought some souvenirs finally…. Joan, if you are reading this, I got u your lamb.

To be frank, I wasn’t very thrilled with the idea of going to NZ. The strange thing is, I’m not sure why. Weird right? The first feeling I had when I reached Auckland was “I can’t wait to go back”

I was pretty shocked that I felt such eagerness to go home. But all these negative feelings change immediately when I saw the rainbow! It had been at least a couple of years since I saw the rainbow. It must be a sign; a sign that signifies that good things will happen to me for this trip. Maybe meet new friends? *wink*

My happy mood lasted until I went to the Aotea Square Market. It took me a while to locate it. (I walked for about 30min as I got lost. ) The market was very small and I couldn’t find any souvenirs to buy for my friends back home. Haiz… Hopefully I can find something tomorrow. Lights out for me now and will continue tomorrow night if I can.

I was away from S'pore for about 10 calender days only... When I'm back, a lot of things has happened...

1) My sec school friend gave birth prematurely to a lovely daughter

2) One of my good friends has accepted her bf's marriage proposal

3) My work mate is pregnant!!!

The world really goes no without me. :( But I'm extremely happy for them. And I'm great to share their joy.

All the best to everyone!

Went to China in Dec 2007 as one of my best gal friend is station in Shanghai. Since it's cheaper to go in as tour and extend our stay in Shanghai, we decided to take the 8D7N Jiangnan tour. But guess wat? There were only 6 of us in the tour. My mum and I, Suffi and PY's mum. The last 2 were a nice married couple. Looking at them, I wish that when I reached the age of 50, I can have some one to travel with as well... *Sidetracked*

We went to Shanghai, Suzhen, Nanjing, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Wuzhen and back to Shanghai. The scenery was breath taking. I dun mind going back to Hangzhou and just kick back for a week. Hopefully I can do that this June before PY's back to S'pore for good. Let's see how it goes. :)

CNY is coming and most likely can blog only after that. Hehehehehe....
